When I was a progressive, obviously I disliked Tucker. Today, it’s a different story. I know people have their issues with him but I’m guessing it stems from two things:
His association with Fox News and its part in stirring up hate and division (what all corporate and cable news does)
His personality of the false front cable news anchor full of exaggerated facial expressions and behaviors.
But I’ve listened to him a lot in the past year and I find him very genuine. Albeit it does seem like the tv personality side of him can’t be excised from him, kind of like your mom warning you if you keep making that face, it’ll stay that way.
But if you can get past that and listen to him with an open mind, he does genuinely care about our country, other countries, and people all over the world.
He has on a Scottish historian and author, Neil Oliver to talk about loads of topics.
My favorite part of this episode is towards the end and is my first takeaway for you.
KEY TAKEAWAY #1 - Banks enslave us
“Lending money with interest is the foundation of our system.” - Tucker
This is true and what the founders warned about. Banks are vampires.
They have the authority to create money out of thin air, charge interest and taxpayers have the burden of paying the interest. And taxpayers suffer the effects of inflation.
Printing money is just a race to the newly printed cash. First it goes to the politician’s friends, donors, lobbyists, friendly foreign governments, etc. It gets laundered by the elite and comes back to them. To us regular folks, it trickles down finally in the form of debt and inflation. Printing money is a scam.
Neil Oliver tells the story of the Bradbury Pound.
During the First World War, Britain began to issue what became known as Bradbury Pounds - interest-free, debt-free one pound notes. It was halted because banks could not profit from the war if there was no debt and no interest.
Every country in the world has the authority to issue from its Treasury debt-free, interest-free currency. Their leaders choose not to because they profit off the bank’s profits. Neil even states he fears we are on the road back to serfdom as those at the top continue to accumulate all the wealth and real estate.
KEY TAKAWAY #2 - The ruling class' definition change of “democracy”
Tucker and Neil get into a discussion about voting. How all the sudden “democracy” simply means that you get a voter. But Tucker says, no, that’s meaningless. Democracy is about much more than that. It’s about the freedom to speak, to own land, that each citizen has a share in this country. To water it down to “the right to vote” strips it of all its richness (something progressivism is so adept at - stripping out the richness, hollowing out important concepts).
With “democracy” simply meaning the right to vote, politicians have focused on just finding 50.1% of support for themselves to win an election or to argue for support of a piece of legislation (“the majority of the country supports this idea!”). Therefore, politicians no longer seek to lead through unity, service, etc. It’s about winning the vote. That’s not democracy.
And for a piece of legislation, just having a majority of the nation on your side does not give someone the right to put into law something that violates the sacred beliefs and ethics of someone. Take vaccine mandates, for example. Had that passed, the government and 50.1% of the American people (or more) are exercising tyranny over the rest. That’s not democracy.
Michael Malice has a few wisdoms to keep in mind.
“One choice is tyranny, two choices is democracy.” Someone else might have come up with that quote, but I hear Michael say it all the time. It highlights what Tucker is saying. If democracy is simply the right to vote, it’s empty and hollow and not far off from tyranny.
“You do not speak for me.” Michael says this is the essence of anarchy, his political philosophy. And there’s truth in that. People with a vote, or people in power, should not be able to force others to do something against their beliefs, wishes or will.
“When they say ‘democracy’ they mean ‘hegemony.’” I can attest from my time as a progressive that this is true. Anything that gives progressives power over their enemies (normal, everyday citizens who wish to be left alone to live their lives freely) is “democracy.” And anything that threatens their power-hold is “a threat to democracy.” Once you see this, you can’t unsee it. Especially in the corporate press.
KEY TAKEAWAY #3 - Elites are trying to destroy the family unit
Obviously there have been loads of progressive organizations and leaders vocalizing how the family unit needs to be toppled because it retards progress.
Neil talks about the Named Persons Bill that was introduced in Scotland, but thankfully killed. The idea was to have government “named persons” who children could talk to about certain topics if they felt uncomfortable talking to their parents.
If I squint hard enough, I can kind of see that their heart’s in the right place. But knowing human nature, and the LBGTQ+ movement’s influence here in the US, I have my doubts.
Believers in queer theory and their allies think that primitive societal bonds and structures keep people from being fully free. So they see it as their holy work to assist people in throwing off all those unchosen bonds society places on them, allowing them to become exactly who they are supposed to be. And to these believers one of the clearest identicators that someone has become fully emancipated is when they identify as anything but heterosexual. It shows they’ve deleted their old programming, built off common wisdom proven across centuries, and installed their new programming of the age to come.
And obviously it’s best to do their holy work on children because there’s less “damage” in their minds. And less bonds to break. Not to mention, they’re more easily manipulated.
This bill was all about grooming kids into this new religion. Thank God it was killed. There should be no such thing as state-sponsored child abuse.
These are just three takeaways, but this episode is just chocked full of awesome discussion, including what seems to pop up in so many podcasts these days: that people are returning to God after having seen the wreckage left by a culture that operates in a manner that denies God. I just find it interesting how all the people who are wanting to dig deep and solve our political and societal problems are ending up in this same place. Anyway, despite my giving you these key takeaways, I’d really recommend listening to this whole episode.
